If It’s Easy To Make Someone’s Day, Do It

James Walpole/ May 5, 2020

The days come and go quickly. They are the small things in a human life, full of worry and activity. It doesn’t take much to break through the noise and make a day special for someone.

For my mother, it’s as simple as sitting down to play a card game. She lights up in a way I hardly see in any other context. Total time commitment from me? Less than 10 minutes. It’s well worth it to see her smile.

The rest of this planet’s humans each have one or two things which, if done right, can make their days. Delight doesn’t require a big investment: jus change the trajectory of one of the smallest units of life: a day. If you learn this, you have a superpower for building relationships and bringing joy to the people you care about.
