How a Praxis Apprenticeship Helped Launch My Career

If you’ve spent any large amount of time around me, you probably know I’m a huge fan of startup apprenticeship program Praxis. If I’m not wearing a Praxis t-shirt at least once a week, I’m probably wearing my Praxis hoodie (note to marketers: create great apparel that people want to wear).

I joined the second Praxis class back in 2014 as an alternative to college. My experience with the early version of the program jump-started my career as a marketer with BitPay and launched me into this Atlanta adventure I’ve been on for three years. A lot has happened since then, but I still don’t have a college degree, and I still don’t intend to get one. The tools, mindset, and experience I gained through the apprenticeship model has made my degree status irrelevant for the work I want to do.

I’ve remained involved with the Praxis team and apprentice community as the program has grown. Today the young people joining Praxis and succeeding in startups around the country astound me.

Get to know my story and theirs in this new short video from Praxis.

P.S. If you don’t follow the Praxis blog, you’re missing out on one of the best-kept secrets of great personal/professional development advice on the web.
